  Love your looks!  You kitty is very similar to mine, only mine is full grown and quite...large...there's no other way to describe her.  And she loves to sprawl her large self out everywhere.  Enjoy your kitty!

  The kitten's name is Rocío and she came all the way from Puerto Rico. I was planning to change her name but Rocío has stuck. She's a girl-cat - calicos are always girls, actually, because the pattern comes from random inactivation of one or the other X chromosome in different patches. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calico_cat

  I'm so glad you all like the jeans. I was nervous that they'd look too diaper-ish like the harem pants I've tried. But I like them a lot. I wouldn't have bought them if I didn't know a few of you (Anna, Cocolion?) owned them too - it made them seem more real, like I could actually wear them in daily life. Which I can, for sure! So thanks for the inspiration.

  And yes, my boyfriend is definitely a keeper. This was his delayed Christmas gift to me, delayed because I wanted to wait til they went on sale - he used the shopbop discount last week.

  Oh my!  Those jeans are fabulous on you!  Just perfect!  I have wanted a pair of them for soooo long - and now, seeing these, motivates me to figure out how I can wrangle with Girl Math to make them mine!

  Boyfriend suggested getting a sleek black kitten so the fur wouldn't show up on our all-black wardrobes! Plus it would add some goth points. But I've always had calicos so she won. She's adjusting very well. Very friendly little critter.

  Serious jeans envy here! Love them on you. Very, very good choice. Seeing them on you, it's hard to imagine that you would have had any doubts, but I know the feeling. (Trying a new style, especially after being underwhelmed by similar ones, does give pause, doesn't it?) The meeting outfit looks very cool, too. And yes, the kitten steals the show! Awwwwww, cute!

  Karymk, I have a black cami tucked in under the cropped sweater. I hate showing midriff (love it on others, can't stand it on myself).

  Marley, chuckling over the Girl Math comment. I realized I'd spend this much on a fancy dress I'd only wear a few times, so why not on one killer pair of jeans, since jeans are the center of my wardrobe? In general I need to shift my big purchases to things I'll really wear all the time for my actual life. No more fancy trousers that never get worn. (It helped that Shopbop had a 20% off code last week.)
